Happy Fathers Day

Happy Dad Day! (love you and miss you dad, you are marvelous)...(and to Mr Faay, Happy Fathers day! Alex loves telling me stories of your crazy Dutch ways, she loves and misses you lots... Britney says hi back)

We are finally in Florence. Alex agrees its so much better than Rome! The town is just incredible. We took the long train in so we could see the country side. We arrived at Gallo D'oro (where I lived here!) and was greeted with big hugs and kisses from the owners, Max and Silvia when we arrived. It felt so much like home! This hostel is amazing. Free internet, our own room and bathroom!! So so nice.
We walked around the city after we settled in and saw the Plazza Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, different piazzas and walked the market place. The food finally felt like it should in Italy. I had a huge pizza margherita and Alex got her spagetti and meatballs. (which she loved, but still isnt as good as her moms). It's so nice to finally be able to walk around without a map. It feels weird to walk the same streets, go to the same areas, sit in the same booth in Il Fauno, stay in the same pensione, but great at the same time. Its good to be back. There is still a lot more of the town to see, but tomorrow we plan on talking the train to Cinque Terra, to see the coast and experience more of Italy. Tuesday we are going to see the museums and more sights in the city, and probably spend some quality time at the market place. (we alread both have our Euroshades, our Stunnas if you will, to fit in...but there is plenty more Italian goodness to see).
We are loving it all and enjoying every minute of it!!

Here are are some pictures from our last day in Berlin, and in ones from Rome.
